One of the marquee developers of this generation, Ubisoft Connect, has just released a new application. The new application is expected to keep chat records for three months, and it will also be full protected with encryption. Furthermore, the company will not allow any party to examine your chats until or unless there is a need for investigation. 

The new application unveiled by Ubisoft designed for chatting and PC overlay will offer many security and privacy benefits to the user. Not only will the company not keep any records of your chats after three months, but it will also encrypt the messages that you are sending to someone. Apart from that, it will also propose some of the common features such as blocking a user, reporting a user, or creating an official or social group.


Ubisoft Connects is a developer whose primary services include a reward system, online profile system, and connection point relevant to Ubisoft games. On the May the 29th, 2021, Saturday, the company revealed that they had prepared a chatting platform tailor-made for people looking for privacy these days. The company also shared that the chat is ready for release, and the users can expect it in the coming weeks. It will be released in the form of a desktop application and PC overlay. The chief intention of the company is to lay out a platform on which the communities can interact and share ideas in a secure manner and with enhancement in security.

If we go by the claims of Ubisoft Connect, the chatting application will be full protected with encryption. And, the company also promises not to attempt any decryption unless called by the investigation law enforcement agencies. Moreover, the company will not even have any record of your communication after the three months has elapsed. It means that whatever your text will be permanently gone from the database of the company and cannot be found ever again. It decreases the possibility of any vested interests snooping on you.

Now, if you have been using the old chatbox of Ubisoft Connect, then it will be replaced with the new one once providing your interesting new features and security. The new system will be available in the upcoming weeks, so there is still time to store any old data (text or graphic) on your device. However, it is imperative to understand that the company Ubisoft Connect will proceed to delete all of your active and old chats and histories once the new system is enforced. Nevertheless, if you are a part of a group with less than 24 members, then you will be glad that the group will continue to stay active. It will stay as it is even after the new system has been enforced, and the history will also be allowed to exist for thirty days with a clear notification. Yet, all the groups containing more than 24 members will be deleted permanently from the database, and users will have to create another group in the new system.
